It is one of Britain’s finest small galleries with a wonderful art collection and highly acclaimed exhibition programme. The Georgian building is a jewel in itself, situated by the River Kent and overlooked by the ruins of Kendal Castle. Artists whose work is displayed include Turner, Ruskin, Romney, Freud, Riley, Schwitters, Nicholson and Peploe. Free parking; gift shop and coffee shop.

Abbot Hall is open Monday - Saturday 10.30 am to 5.00 pm
(closing at 4pm February, March, November and December)
We are open between 18 January and 20 December 2008.
The Gallery is closed on Sundays.
